THE SAGE STAGE STORY
About Us
Carolyn Driscoll
Carolyn (Co-Founder and Artistic Director) is a member of Actor’s Equity and SAG-AFTRA. Carolyn has worked with many professional theater companies including the Union Square Theater, The Roundabout, Hudson Guild Theater and The Count Basie Theatre. She has appeared in televison productions of NYPD Blue, As The World Turns, Another World and All My Children, as well as hosting Pet News, and Pet Talk Live, (educating people on the humane treatment of animals). Carolyn has managed and created interactive educational programs for organizations that teach acting programs for children, developmentally disabled adults, and disadvantage youth. These programs focused on conflict- resolution and anti-bullying programs for organizations including BOCES, SASF, The Black Spectrum Theater, and Creative Connections Agency, which she co-founded 16 years ago with her long time collaborator Debbie Scanlon. The Sage Stage program is the brain child of Carolyn and Lynn Kroll, who have worked diligently to tailor each aspect of the Sage Stage program so that participants will get the most from their investment in theater arts.

I have witnessed interaction of even the most private, lonely, secluded individuals flourish in this program…there
is sharing,
rehearsing and a fun that is pure and non intimidating.

I cannot imagine NOT having the Sage Stage program. Carolyn encouraged me to write about an experience I never thought I’d be brave enough to share.
